pink roses . . . and a new tradition

My mom bought me my first bouquet of pink roses when I turned 16 years old. I can still remember them . . . and how special I felt when she gave them to me. I truly felt like a young lady.

My mom has given me flowers every year for my birthday since my Sweet 16 . . . a tradition that I hold dear to my heart.

I bought our oldest daughter a bouquet of petite pink roses this year for her 6th birthday. They're so beautiful and feminine. A tradition that I hope to pass down every year on her special day.

  1. Such beautiful roses. I love that colour pink - not too strong, but with a delicacy that is so feminine.

  9. I remember when my parents bought me some peach roses on my 16th birthday and I loved it! I'm going to pin this and try to remember to do this for my daughter. It's so important to show our girls that they are loved and cherished!
