I typically wait until the day after Thanksgiving to listen to holiday music, but I couldn't resist this year.
So . . . I've been happily decorating and Fall baking to the sounds of Christmas tunes.
Sounds lovely, except that it started stirring an excitement to begin decorating for Christmas and holiday baking.
Friends, we're still in November . . . and haven't even celebrated Thanksgiving yet. So I'm trying hard to enjoy THIS amazing season and all the wonderful sights, sounds, and smells that it brings to us this time of year.
Yes, I'm still listening to holiday music . . . it's so hard not to now; but I thought it would be fun to share a few more Fall favorites to keep us on track (wink!). I hope you enjoy!
My dear friends, the Waren's (thank you!), gave me these beautiful persimmons. They're from their backyard. I can only image how breath-taking their tree is this time of year!
So I'm thinking that these will make for the perfect Persimmon White Chocolate Bread Pudding! Stay tuned for photos and recipe!
Have you seen these darling Cinnamon Whisks?
I found them at Trader Joe's (99 cents! each) a few weeks ago . . . and bought several of them.
Their cinnamon scent sure smells like the Holidays. I have them hidden in various rooms in our home.
I bought these two TALL, slender terracotta pots when I visited J. Woeste (read more about this beautiful nursery here) last weekend.
They're going to make the perfect home for these Paper White bulbs!
And what is Fall without more amazing Fall baking . . .
. . . . . . . .
Cinnamon Crumble Cookie Bars
with Pumpkin Spice glaze
petite Pumpkin Cheesecakes
with a sweet sour cream topping
Pumpkin Butter Streusel Cakes
. . . . . . . .
I bought these 'baseball pumpkins' while visiting Avila Valley Barn on our Annual 'girl's trip' last weekend. I piled them high in a pewter bowl . . . and paired them with one of my bigger lemon cypress.
And here's a final peak at the theme of this year's Thanksgiving table . . . pumpkins & pansies.
This year marks my 4th year hosting Thanksgiving Dinner for our family . . . and I couldn't be more excited or thankful!
LET'S STAY in touch!

Ah, I'm with you, I'm already in the holiday season! But to me, Thanksgiving and Christmas are just part of one big celebration. I can enjoy every bit of Thanksgiving while listening to Christmas music and stringing up decorations! Your pumpkins are adorable, and I'm seriously envious of your bittersweet wreath. Bittersweet is one of the things I miss about Fall in Missouri. If only I could find some here! Oh well. ;)
ReplyDeleteI've been listening to Christmas music, too. I can't help it. But it's making me want to decorate! I'm trying to hold out until my usual day after Thanksgiving. But I have been gettin' my Christmas craft on. :)
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE persimmons. I throw them into salads with some nuts and cheese. Yum!
Those whisks are so fun! Clearly I need to make a trip to TJ's. For those and the ravioli. Plus, they were out of my favorite frozen naan bread last trip. AND, I should probably be buyin' the mint Oreo things before they're gone!
Love this! Just saw your link on Tickle Tastebuds party! I saw the cinnamon brooms at TJ and never would have thought to put them in rooms. Dang- I bet they are gone now! love! laura
ReplyDeleteI love the cinnamon brooms / such a lovely scent. All of your fall photos are lovely and I'm glad to see them. I am not visiting Christmas links until after Thanksgiving! :) One holiday at a time! :)
ReplyDeleteAre you going to share your recipe for those yummy looking cinnamon cookie bars? I'd love to make them for my four boys! All your pictures are beautiful and your menu sounds perfect.
ReplyDeleteSuzanne, I like to savor the autumn holidays and spirit too. I'll pull out the Christmas decorations in December. I'm not one to rush it. Your images are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. Happy Holidays!

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your fall tribute with us at Project Inspire{d}!
I LOVE your site Suzanne and how beautifully you decorate - not my talent. Thank you for sharing the tablescapes and recipes to give me ideas and amazing food to make. Happy Thanksgiving! Carrie, A Mother's Shadow
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are so amazing. You captured fall beautifully!
ReplyDeleteoh how pretty! I admit, I listen to Christmas music, AND I decorated for Christmas this last week. I really didn't mean to, it just sort of happened. I still have my fall tablescape though. Thanks for sharing on Weekend Bites
ReplyDeleteWe don't celebrate Thanksgiving and it's Spring here not Autumn, but this post makes me want to hop on a plane....lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to Marvelous Monday on Smart Party Planning.
Your fall photos are such an inspiration! I love the natural aspects you have pulled in on your Thanksgiving table. I have never heard of "baseball" pumpkins but they sure are cute!
