They're so easy to prepare, and can add a special touch to drinks and desserts.
Peach simple syrup smells like the sweetest of sun-kissed Summer peaches . . . and tastes just like the sweet nectar of a ripe peach.
~ The stunning hues of a peach give this simple syrup its peach color! ~
Beautiful, isn't it!?!
You can use peach simple syrup for so many things . . .
drizzle it over warm pound cake, right out of the oven
add it to tea, lemonade, and lemon-lime sodas . . . just to name a few
brush it atop cupcakes to keep them moist
drizzle it over a fresh Summer fruit salad
freeze it in ice cube trays to drop in drinks, or to enjoy for later
freeze it in ice cube trays to drop in drinks, or to enjoy for later
. . . and the list goes on and on.
Peach Simple Syrup
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
2 peaches, pitted and sliced (skin on)
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and stir until sugar is
completely dissolved.
Remove from heat and let cool completely.
When the syrup is cooled, line a strainer with a paper towel
(this will help catch all the peach fuzz and small bits)
and strain the syrup
into a storage container. Refrigerate until needed.
This recipe only makes a small amount, so I’d recommend doubling it if you want to use it for
multiple things. It never hurts to have too much, and it will keep in the
refrigerator for a couple of weeks at least!
Thank you for stopping by to visit me at mysewwhatblog.blogspot.com. Had to drop by to visit you as well. This peach syrup is a timely post for me as I will soon have an abundance of peaches and am always looking for ways to use them up quickly.

If I use less sugar, and more water, will more peach flavor come through?
ReplyDeleteHello! This looks delicious but peaches are not in season right now. Do you think I could use frozen peaches?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely!
DeleteHere's a great website to help you convert fresh to frozen:

If you like a stronger peach flavor, then add more peaches :0) It's pretty versatile.
